Hey there posting for my brother he owns a diesel cmax that has just went into limp mode. Only code coming up on the inboard diagnostics is dtc9601 anyone any ideas what's up? Thanks

It won't be that code that's tripped limp mode - its probably a stored code from a previous error. However for you info:

DTC_9601 - Immobilisation [PATS System code] - Key-Code Mismatch from Ignition Transponder (Possible unprogrammed key or read error)
03 Ford Galaxy 1.9 TDI 115 Ghia in Spruce Green Metallic
With cream leather interior, Full Bodykit, Remapped at 145bhp, Lowered on 18's
06 VW EOS 2.0 T-FSI 210 Sport in Deep Black Pearl
With red leather interior with full Caractere bodykit, Remapped at 255bhp and sitting on 19's
14 VW Tiguan 2.0 TDI 177 R-Line in Deep Black Pearl
With black leather interior, panoramic sunroof and bi-xenon headlights.
08 Ford Transit 2.2 TDI 115 in Frozen White
With retrofitted everything except another slidey door! :)

It just happened all of a sudden! I can't get a code scanning it just says no code stored. It's just a cheap vag/obd scanner tho.

Does anyone know where the cam position sensor is on the 1.6tdci c-max? Cheers

On the rear of the cylinder head to my knowledge, left hand side (drivers) as you look into the engine bay. Bit of a bugger for access due to the location of the scuttles etc on the C-Max and the fact that the rear of the engine is tucked underneath them.
Always learning..... Often by mistakes!
