While driving, my 2003 FORD GALAXY 2.3 PETROL AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION suddenly slip and the stops moving on the drive D so I discover that my car only moves when I shift to 1 and reverse. I have changed my gearbox twice but I still experienced the same symptom. I also try changing the Transmission control module but my car still behaves the same way and no-fault or trouble codes comes up when I scan with VCDS.
Please anybody with an idea of what is going on with my car should kindly assist.

Very puzzling. U have changed the gearbox, u say? Could this be a computer issue.
I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all.

Always remember, a motor car is a serious tool and should be treated with respect. Put your safety first, always.

I'd wonder if the op means they have changed the gearbox oil twice rather than the gearbox itself?

Typically the boxes only suffer either from degraded/insufficient oil, or gummy solenoids - the n92 one being the usual suspect mentioned. Worth a look in the faq section for that, but would be helpful for the original poster to confirm if they meant the gearbox or the oil?
