Hi David, you do for the rear bank but misfires are more often the coil packs failing on the V6 engine which are easier to change ;)

Unfortunately Haynes only covered the more common 1.9 TDI (VW) and 2.3 petrol (Ford) engines in their Mk2 Galaxy manual, unless you were able to get hold of a copy of a Ford TIS disc (or download) or VW equivalent then the best you could hope for would be one of these (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswagen-VR6-Engine-manual-2-8-Litre-12-24V-models-/251202102537) or similar, but it probably won't give you info specific to the vehicle, e.g-  engine/ gearbox mounts, access to various components and repairs in situ etc.

i changed plugs and coil packs but never had to remove manifold, this though was on 24v engine.
got coil packs on Ebay from Euro car parts,  cheaper on there than the Euro parts website,  very odd,  when i asked  they said they were the same company but a seperate business so sold parts cheaper.
