« on: May 13, 2013, 07:50:21 PM »
Hi
I am getting replacement heated windscreen fitted tomorrow.

Hopefully they Know what they are doing.

Anything I should watch out for?
ie disconnect battery?
airbags are fitted in side pillars
does this affect removal to get at electric connections for screen

any  thing else ?

had mine done in a focus recently, guy knew his stuff. Just test it when it has been done to make sure both sides are heating. Oh and it'll take an hour for the epoxy to set after he is done. Mine ended up in a local restaurant car-park to give him room to do the job and get the rain canopy over.

Not sure how best to test it, put a bag of ice on the windscreen till it starts to fog up the use it? If you have air con, that'd probably chill it enough. If it works.
