 :(  hello everyone I know this topic has been covered, but I cant get my head round, the drive shafts complete, does this mean that it includes the above inner drive shaft? or is it a completely different issue. I can not find any detailed diagrams any where to see how all these components come together.
I would appreciate clarification, as i am new to this and only have a very basic knowledge, of this vehicle.
Help please if you can. Thanks

These diagrams here show the outer drive shafts/ cv joints whilst this shows the intermediate shaft components (this diagram is for a 6 speed manual transmission but they are all similar).

Basically the intermediate shaft runs along the back of the engine to provide drive to the offside wheel and is composed of a stub which stays in the gearbox (item 20 on the second diagram) and the intermediate shaft and support bearing (item 31 or 32 on the second diagram depending on if you have the extended support bracket (item 22) or not). This then bolts to the outer driveshaft (which has both inner and outer cv joints) via a flange.

 Hope this makes it clearer.
