Hello everybody hope your all well, not been on for a while as brothers Galaxy been running good up until now.
So the issue is it looks like the CSC (Concentric Slave Cylinder) has give up, the clutch pedal hit the floor with total lose of pressure, brother topped up the fluid and pumped the pedal and all seemed well, week later the pedal hit the floor again, topped fluid up and tried to bleed it but nothing, it woudn't build pressure, when we looked underneath there are a few drops of fluid coming out between the engine/sump and the gearbox, so clutch change in order if the gearbox has to come out to change the cylinder, the problem I have is which flywheel is in this Galaxy, I'm taking it to be a Dual Mass with it being a diesel.
Its the VW 1.9tdi engine so according to the Ford dealer it had 1 of 2 different flywheels fitted, its either a LUK or a Sachs, my mate said he would change it for me but I would rather have all the parts ready for him so there is no chasing parts.
So my question is, is there a way of finding out which flywheel is fitted without removing the gearbox, if so how do I identify which is which.
Many Thanks in advance.
