MKII galaxy clocks
« on: May 25, 2019, 05:44:03 PM »
I've had 2 intermittent clocks on my Galaxy and loathe to buy another
as I dont drive it that much unless I'm off up country visiting so have patched in a
large poundshop watch which to be fair keeps pretty good time.

Symptoms:
Time waay off, so reset proper time and for day or two or three its fine then goes wonky again
Bought another from Ebay and it happened again!

Q:
Are all Galaxy clocks prone to being a PITA or was I just unlucky?

Mine used to randomly run backwards. Replaced it with a for Ka one which fitted and plugged straight in. Has been working perfectly for over a year and it has a white face so easier to see. Cost around £6 on Ebay.
I'd rather be on Orkney!

Sounds like a terrible fault. I used to have a Saab 9-5 which back in 1998 would have the clock synchronised to the time radio signal so that it was always accurate to the second. This sort of gadgetry costs pennies, mere pennies, so Iím surprised itís not standard these days.

In my Alhamb I have a Kenwood DAB radio which always shows the correct time but the clock on the dashboard seems to keep time ok anyhow
I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

Sounds like a nice little improvement to the car
