New to Galaxy
« on: June 24, 2012, 06:44:18 PM »
Hi you have probably been asked this a million times before, What is the best option if I want to buy a handheld or laptop diagnostic scanner? Not sure which one would be best for the 2.8 v6 auto 2001 mk2. Any help appreciated as I have the engine light up and want to find out why as the car seems to be running fine. Many thanks.

well unless you go down the experts route, with VERY EXPENSIVE hand held jobbies then i would say go for the laptop and lead, that way youve got a lappy aswell to use for other stuff.

vcds on a laptop is the better route imo. The amount of stuff it can do compared to a good reader is incredible. You'll need a dealer type version to get anywhere near the same functionality as vcds
03 Ford Galaxy 1.9 TDI 115 Ghia in Spruce Green Metallic
With cream leather interior, Full Bodykit, Remapped at 145bhp, Lowered on 18's
06 VW EOS 2.0 T-FSI 210 Sport in Deep Black Pearl
With red leather interior with full Caractere bodykit, Remapped at 255bhp and sitting on 19's
14 VW Tiguan 2.0 TDI 177 R-Line in Deep Black Pearl
With black leather interior, panoramic sunroof and bi-xenon headlights.
08 Ford Transit 2.2 TDI 115 in Frozen White
With retrofitted everything except another slidey door! :)
