Title: No Light on dashboard when Cruise Control Switched on
Post by: woo649 on June 01, 2014, 08:51:38 AM
So I know that my cruise control has stopped working, but cannot find any obvious solutions in the forums ? In the past I have replaced leaking vacuum hoses etc but now it does not even switch on at all. No lights, nothing. I have checked the obvious like fuses etc. Is this a common problem. Anyone know any where obvious to start ? thanks in anticipation.

Hello! The vast majority of Galaxys are TDI's which have a very simple and almost bulletproof CC system hence why you won't see that many faults on here about it.
However, the 2.3 and 2.8 are vacuum driven CC and I'd start at the pump as its a known failure. Remove the passenger headlight and have a look for it between the inner and outer wing.

I have half of this problem...the cruise control works fine, but in the time I have owned the car there has never been an illuminated symbol on the dashboard to say its on!!!

Hello Rob  welcome5
As far as I'm aware the warning light only works on the later models as my MK 2 doesn't have the light either.
