Power Loss
« on: March 24, 2015, 08:34:02 PM »
Hi all got my caravan out of storage yesterday driving great 1, 2, 3, 4 loads of power smooth take away turbo seemed to be working great hit the dual carriage way 45 mph in 4  shifts in to 5 Nothing struggled to get to 60 mph .with foot to the floor  lucky for me I had my laptop with vag on it so when it got home I didn't turn the engine off plugged vag in  to see the error code Nothing at all check for holes in pipe work that I could see nothing  so took the gal solo for a blast and I mean a blast at 70 ish she still wants to go and can feel it pushing me back in the seat , is it the actuator . n75 valve   the van weighs 1154 kg so 69% weight ratio so not to heavy  god help me if I hit a hill while towing her . fitted new MAF last year  I did notice was the faint smell of diesel checked couldn't see any leakage

Hi Tom  welcome5
Have looked at your log file which is pretty inconclusive as you have no data at the correct engine speed and throttle opening.
To do this ideally you need a stretch of uphill gradient where you can accelerate from 30mph in third gear and most importantly flat out as you pass through 3000 to 3500 RPM
Try again and post the file :)

Upgraded Eberspächer booster heater  to independent heating with 7 day timer.

With VCDS lite (full version) need a code clearing or want to scan for faults in the north kent area, PM me.
All for a pint of Strongbow.

3rd is best but of course road/traffic conditions can make it tricky, but as said before for blocks 010 & 011 you need 100% throttle that's flat out with 2850 to 3250 RPM.

So accelerate flat out from 30MPH in third gear just watch the RPM when it reaches 3500RPM back off throttle and repeat the process so you get a good few logs.
It's best if someone operates the laptop for you that way you can pause the log when not doing the acceleration test and keeps the log smaller.
