Roof box
« on: August 03, 2019, 12:52:39 PM »
Hi everyone, I got a large Thule roof box for my Alhamb from a man on ebays and Iím so pleased with it! So handy and convenient. Sometimes I out garden chairs in it if Iím going to the beach so that I can sit down and relax without getting sand in the car when I bring it back home.

But I was wondering, do you know if it will use lots more fuel please? My friend said it makes hardly any difference. Thank you
I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all.

Mine knocks about 5mpg off.  That's on about 4000 mile journeys across Yurp, using mainly motorways when available.

Thank you very much, that is very helpful to know and is consistent with what I was expecting. It sounds like you must do some lovely long journeys and adventures in your car!
