Hi, I have recently acquired a Galaxy 1.9tdi Ghia 02 with a visteon vdv101 dvd player in the rear storage compartment. It looks like someone has attempted to wire this into the existing multi plug for the old vcr supplied with the car. However this was unsuccessful.
I would love to get this working again if possible. My question is,  can anyone help  me with the wiring into the existing plug on the car.?  I can see that the top 4 wires (black, white, orange and red) are the power feeds etc, but have no idea which does what.? Equally, with the av wires below.  I can't find any info on what colours go where.? Would ideally like a guide to wiring the visteon vdv into this please.

Also, the power leads coming from the visteon unit are Red=Acc+, Black=Ground, Yellow=Battery 12v+. Do these need to be wired into the same jack or independently.?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Dacksey.

if memory serves correct when I did mine the black is earth, white 12v signal from head unit (head unit needs to be on to power vcr/DVD) orange 12v ignition feed. Red permanent 12v feed.

As for the audio mine just has phono plugs from the Visteon multi plug for audio and video so did not need to touch them. Has yours been chopped up?
