Washer pipe connections
« on: June 10, 2016, 03:13:32 pm »
Just in case someone has similar issue to me with draining washer bottle and screen wash smell in cabin, there is not just the connection by passenger feet that pops off. I found there is one behind trim in nearside rear behind top seat belt anchor for the very rear seat. Exactly the same set up as the common one so a cable tie put on and all is good now.

Also had this on mine as both went when it was particularly cold a few years ago. A real pain to fix when you have rear air-con as the ducting for this is in front of it too.

Can imagine it was a pain to fix with ducting in way, there is not much slack on washer pipe.

Is it the joint popped apart or pipe split?

As in the original post there is a joint (possibly with a non-return valve) behind the trim at about the level of the top seatbelt mount for the rear passenger speaker.  I can't remember exactly where the pipe goes but it may be accessible from the removable panel in the boot.
You probably need to remove the interior trim over the wheel arch if you can't access it from the access panel.  If it's NOT got rear aircon then the pipe may be accessible. If you have rear air-con then the ducting to the roof vents will probably be in the way.

apologies for delay in replying
other problems with other vehicle took priority

pipe has broken just at rubber gaiter top of tailgate
wondered about replacing with plain clear tube from floor connection to gaiter
as black corrugated pipe does not impress me
I might be wrong as usual
