Hi all, my airbag light is on permanently on my 1.8 Tdci and it's in for mot, I've checked all connections but light still on. How easy is clock spring removal and refit? This is the only option I can't check. Any advice welcome. Thanks all!

Have you had it plugged in as it’s pure guesswork if you don’t.
It could be something as simple as plug under seat so I wouldn’t go taking steering wheel off etc unless I knew the squib was actually at fault.

Mot tester doing obd check foc today. Here's hoping it's something and nothing as I've just had engine replaced and really don't need any more problems.

Checked plugs under seat this morning and gave them a clean but couldn't figure out the routing of any other wires going into seat backs.

As above, the SRS system has over 120 reasons for activating the light so you do need to get it scanned. Side impact sensors aren't an uncommon fault, as is the wiring you've already looked and yes, the clock spring. The clock springs are quite robust though and you don't tend to see failures except on higher mileage cars - whats yours on?

Mines got 77000 on clock, I've been told to check the BCM, I don't know where it is our what it looks like though, any photos of said module please?
