Galaxy 2.0 tdci 56 plate leaking egr coolant pipe fitting
« on: April 29, 2019, 11:27:57 AM »
Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has come across this problem before.

The EGR cooler pipe with the funny clip doesn't seem to be sealing properly. Is there a rubber seal missing ?

How easy is it to change, the pipe on the egr is easy enough, its the pipe on the bulkhead looks tricky.

If itís is the steel sort of v shaped band clamp then not typically a seal on those it seals by the clip holding the mating faces tight together

I donít really know much about these EGR devices. Why do they need cooling?
I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all.

Always remember, a motor car is a serious tool and should be treated with respect. Put your safety first, always.

FIXED ! FIXED !

It was a rubber o ring that was missing on the inside of the pipe that fits onto the egr
