I donít blame you either as they are not renowned for being a decent gearbox,Ford/getrag dropped a clanger using dry clutch packs.

Sounds like a very impressive name but I for one tend to prefer numbers and model references to the names

Might be worth calling somewhere like Euros to check which one you need

The Ford ones are wet clutch.  That's why you neeed to be absolutely sure that the servicing has been done.

Powershifts have the PNDR in a straight line with individual gear selection by moving the lever to one side and then back and forth for up/down.

I thought Ford opted for dry clutch as opposed to wet clutch packs like found in the beemers,Audiís etc which is what causes the poor shifting?
The servicing element was more for solenoid operation/reliability wasnít it?

My understanding is that it is clutch wear detritus in the oil that makes the regular changes an absolute must for reliability.  Most of the VAG group use the dry clutch version, I think.  Certainly all the online videos I have seen for changing clutch packs (which seems to be the Achilles heel of that version) have been things like Golfs and Passats.

Ford also had software issues causing problems with changing and drive takeup.  That appears to be fixed.

At one time, I would have been happy to have a Powershift box as long as I was positive that servicing had been done.  There now, however, seem to be problems arising from internal plastic components failing.  A pity, as they work very well when new and sorted.
