The middle seat in the middle row of our 12 plate galaxy wont stay up.
It reclines if you lean back.
Any ideas would be much appreciated

Maybe one of the ratchet things which holds it in place has gone out of alignment... is there anything you can wiggle about or try and free up, maybe shake it around and tap it or even a few gentle knocks in strategic places to see if you can get anything to 'ping' back into the right place?

I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all.

Always remember, a motor car is a serious tool and should be treated with respect. Put your safety first, always.
